The entire back portion of this house had crumpled cinderblock walls and tarp simply draped over rotted beams. The older woman that lives here has a small room remaining to keep dry and hold her personal belongings. It is smaller than the average walk-in closet. This woman works are a care-giver for a retired gentlemen that owns the house we used as our home base (a place for gathering, eating, briefing workers and stockpiling building materials).

We ripped out the rotted beams, recycling where we could, and built a new roof A-frame. We then finished it with corrugated tin roofing. The woman was grateful for the clearing of debris and new roof but wanted to hold out for a mason to repair the cinderblock walling.
