Bantayan Island Outreach
June of 2014
This very small corrugate tin building was actually a home with several people living in it. They had no roof frame with only a piece of tarp draped over the top. The tin walls constructed from Typhoon roof debris made the home very hot in the daytime.
This was our last effort before we had to leave the Island. We were all very tired and eager to get back to our base of operations to commence with our final team meeting, a celebratory dinner, and issue payment to our salaried carpenters and helpers.
We had to use a spotlight to finish in the dark. The small home had a new hardwood frame, a new tin roof, and new amakan siding before we retired.
