A couple with a young boy and a baby lived in this house. As we've seen with most of the houses in this area that could not withstand the Typhoon, a new shelter has been quickly constructed from wind-torn debris, nylon cord, bamboo poles, and tarps. Our carpenters worked into the night to finish. We replaced the bamboo poles with a sturdy hardwood frame, put on a full corrugated tin roof and then finished with 4 new amakan walls.
Under the Team picture page, you'll notice Denise holding 2 live chickens. This was a token of gratitude for rebuilding their home. Our team cooks prepared them for dinner the next evening :)
